The Platinum 10 stationary oxygen concentrator from Invacare is actually not as big as you’d suspect, being a 10 LPM capacity concentrator. This user friendly and low maintenance stationary model is a great concentrator for in home use. Here are the pros and cons of this model and general information to help you decide whether or not this concentrator is right for you.

The Good

There are many things to love about the Invacare Platinum 10. This powerhouse of a stationary oxygen concentrator delivers between 2 and 10 LPM of continuous flow oxygen, at an average purity of 95%, even on the highest setting! It’s also amazing that the Platinum 10 isn’t any louder, even on the highest settings. The highest noise level from this concentrator is around 58 decibels, which isn’t much louder than your refrigerator when it kicks on. The inner system of the Platinum 10 is powerful and top of the line, with HEPA filters, a compressor inlet filter and a Lifetime 4-way valve that requires no maintenance. Add on flow and power safety alarms and you have an extremely dependable stationary oxygen concentrator.

The Bad

It weighs 53 lbs and can use as much as 585 watts – these things go along with the high oxygen capacity, however. It’s suggested that if you don’t need over 5 LPM of continuous flow, you should go with one of the smaller stationary oxygen concentrators.

The Bottom Line

Perfect for oxygen therapy patients who need as much as 10 LPM for a few hours out of the day or overnight. You can count on the Platinum 10 deliver the high purity of oxygen that you need, with little to no maintenance on your part. Overall a dependable and tough machine that is user friendly and won’t be bothersome, even in the noise and size department. As far as high flow oxygen concentrators go, this is one of the best.
